Froot
About Froot
Froot is a simple game for the Sharp Zaurus SL-5000D and SL-5500 PDAs.
The current version is 0.7.1. The application is free software and is licensed
under the GNU GPL.
I am proud to say that Froot won a runner-up prize in the Qtopia Worldwide Developer Contest
(Press
Release) and was voted best in the Games category.
I always appreciate feedback and bug reports (well, not really, but send
them anyway :-) ). My email address is tscheuermann <at> gmx.net.
Quotes
"[...] I detected the existence of froot and installed it to my Zaurus.
Now I'm not able to use it anymore,
since my girlfriend wants to play everytime!!!"
"My girlfriend is completely in love with your game. She insists
that I take my Zaurus to dinner so that she can play it. If I don't,
she is sad and she beats me with a flat shovel."
Ok, so there seems to be a pattern here. Froot and girlfriends do not match.
Consider yourself warned. I take no responsibility for injuries suffered
from being beaten with shovels or other potentially harmful objects over
disputes on the topic of Froot. ;-)

To Do
- Add sound support. I tried using the QSound class provided by Qt/Embedded
but got unsatisfactory results. A better way would probably be to use SDL_mixer
for audio playback. To be honest, I'm not even sure this is a useful feature.
What's the point of plugging in the headphone just for an occasional "pling"
from the game?
